Hey Atlanta, Attack of The Killer Tomato Fest is happening July 19th 1-5p




CT. Kitchen & Bar is proud to present chef Ford Fry’s seventh annual Attack of the Killer Tomato Festival on Sunday, July 19 from 1-5 p.m. 
This year, more than 50 of the South’s top chefs along with some of Atlanta’s most skilled mixologists and over 30 farmers are teaming up to create the tastiest tomato concoctions to raise money for Georgia Organics and The Giving Kitchen.

Tickets are $70 per person and $65 for Georgia Organics members. Tickets will also be available at the door on Sunday, July 19, for $85 per person. A total of 1,800 tickets are available for attendees.
VIP guests will have access to the festival at 12:00pm. This means ONE FULL HOUR of tastes and cocktails without the crowd. VIP tix are $125 while they last.

Spring into Atlanta Festival Season with the 4th Annual Spring Festival on Ponce
The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces is proud to announce the 4th Annual Spring Festival on Ponce on April 11 – 12, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia. This event will feature over 125 local and regional artists with the beautiful backdrop of historic Olmsted Linear Park.
Visitors will enjoy fine art and crafts, children’s area, live acoustic entertainment and local food and beverage concessions including “gourmet” food trucks. This event is organized by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces and volunteer artists to benefit the local community. This event will be very conservative, with sensitivity to the park and neighborhood. Best of all, its free to attend.
“We hope that neighbors and visitors will come see the extraordinary gardens of the Olmsted Linear Park and stay to peruse the 125 local artists who will take up residence there for the weekend! We are very proud that our local artists will be able to draw attention to both the historic parks and the Druid Hills community in a positive way,” says Patrick Dennis, President of the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces.
These beautiful chains of parks have lovely trees and paths and great visibility from one of Atlanta’s truly historic avenues. This is a unique and wonderful opportunity for locals and visitors to appreciate the vision and legacy of one of America’s most celebrated landscape architects, Fredrick Olmsted, Sr. as well as the achievements in restoration by the Olmsted Linear Park Alliance.

Celebrating Fall Colors at Atlanta’s “Best Local Festival”

The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces is proud to announce the Sixth Annual Chastain Park Arts Festival on November 1st and 2nd in Atlanta, Georgia. Named Best Self Magazine’s “Best Local Festival,” the Chastain Park Arts Festival will transform the park into an outdoor art gallery to the backdrop of vibrant fall hues. This two-day event will feature up to 200 fine local and regional artists and artisans along tree lined Park Drive in Chastain Park. This is definitely and event that you do not want to miss!

Visitors will enjoy fine art and crafts, a children’s area and local food and beverage concessions including the “gourmet” food trucks. Local acoustic musicians will enliven the atmosphere in addition to live art demonstrations. This event is organized by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces and volunteer artists. Best of all, it’s entirely free to attend!

The Chastain Park area is rich with one of the largest and most enthusiastic art buying communities in the Atlanta area. More than 50,000 visitors are expected over the weekend to view the many painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metal craft persons, glass blowers, jewelers and more! The Festival will also offer visitors the opportunity to view artist demonstrations, enjoy live entertainment, participate in hands-on art activities, and enjoy festival foods and beverages.

Tunes from the Tombs, Historic Oakland Cemetery’s annual all-day music festival, 1-8 p.m., June 14, featuring musicians performing in and amongst Oakland’s extraordinary monuments, mausoleums and renowned gardens.

Two main stages will host amplified artists, while buskers will perform on distinct vignette stages throughout the cemetery. From rock to folk, Americana to jazz and classical to everything in between, a variety of tunes will entice everyone to boogie down.

Soothe your stomach as well as your soul with good eats from Atlanta food trucks, which will be on-site serving a variety of tasty festival fare.

Sip suds at the Woodchuck Cider Garden where DJ Phiasco will be on tap to take requests.
All proceeds benefit Historic Oakland Foundation. The work of the Foundation is supported by grants from charitable foundations, individuals, and events like Tunes from the Tombs.

Parking will be available at the Grady Health Systems lot behind the MLK MARTA Station on Grant Street for $5. The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition will provide bike parking. Historic Oakland Foundation encourages festival-goers to take MARTA to the King Memorial Station. Bring your blanket or lawn chair and spend the day! No coolers or outside food allowed. This is a non-smoking event.

Tickets are available for $10 online, $5 for kids (online or at gate) and $15 at gate.

The Atlanta Jazz Festival is regarded as one of the Country’s largest FREE jazz festivals. Culminating during each Memorial Day weekend, the festival features show-stopping performances at Piedmont Park.


The Festival is produced by the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs, and it is FREE and open to the public.

Spring is in the air and that can only mean one thing in Atlanta: the Atlanta Dogwood Festival is back! The Dogwoods are in full bloom, and hundreds of artists from around the country will set up their tents for the 78th Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival.

An Atlanta staple for more than 75 years, there is something for everyone at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival. Virtually every kind of art imaginable is represented at the festival, with a nationally renowned-juried Fine Artist Market that includes sculpture, paintings, pottery, jewelry, photography and much more.

In addition to the fine art for adults and art collectors, there is a Kids Village featuring huge inflatables, arts & crafts and face painting for all ages, as well as the ever-popular 24-foot rock-climbing wall!

Sponsor booths are located throughout the Festival that will have everything from live radio remotes to great prizes and interactive games. No pet dogs are allowed at large outdoor events like the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, according to City of Atlanta ordinance.

Music has become an essential feature of the weekend’s festivities, and this year will be no different! A wide array of diverse musical offerings will fill the springtime air throughout the weekend! And when you get hungry, follow the delicious smells, of funnel cakes, gyros, crab cakes, onion rings, kettle corn and much, much more!
