A day all about the plants and animals that make the night lively and the skin crawl!
Live Bats: 11am, 1pm, & 2pm: Learn all about these amazing flying mammals with the fruit bats of A-Z Animals. This live bat presentation will fill quickly. Seating is available on a first come basis, please plan to arrive early for this special treat.
See a Snake and Ogle an Owl: 12pm: Meet two of CNC’s spookiest animal ambassadors and learn how they got their spooky reputations.
Eeek-O-Friendly Costume Swap: 11am - 3pm: Turn in your cape and trade your tutu! Swap your old costumes for something new to wear this spooky season. CNC is an official participant of the Green Halloween National Costume Swap Day
Insect Bio-Buggy: 1-3pm: A cart full of activities and fun about eerie animals with loads of legs.
Ugly Bug Ball: Book Signing 1-2pm, Live Reading 3pm, Meet the authors of the new book The Ugly Bug Ball and enjoy a live reading of this insect centered story.
Frightening Flora Mini Exhibit: Devil Claws, Witch Hazel and The Vine that Ate the South are just a few of the creepy plants you will find in this special exhibit in the Nature Exchange.
